My Name Is Darwin & This Is My Journey
A Forever Home
I love to get visits from people visiting the sanctuary! They always cheer my day up with their happy talk, and they are so impressed at how fast I can jump from one branch to the other. If you would like to make my day, you can come visit me and my other sanctuary friends by booking a tour below.
Before KSTR
Before KSTR rescued me, I had a hard past. I just lived in a hotel in Manuel Antonio where I was used as a tourist attraction for people to take photos with me and feed me human food. I was kept in really poor conditions; I was starving, lost most of my hair, and ended up with a lot of mental problems. Luckily for me, one day, I was taken away from the hotel, and I arrived at Kids Saving The Rainforest. They have an animal hospital where they take very good care of animals that need help, like me!
A Fresh Start
In just a few months, I gained weight, muscles and my hair grew back! But unfortunately, I still struggle with some of the mental problems from my traumatic past. Although it has gotten much better now that I live in a big cage where I can move around and enjoy the company of another spider monkey (my very good friend Nina), sometimes I still get a bit restless when I remember everything I went through.
