These two are just a few steps from being released; Right now, we have a camera trap in their enclosure, monitoring their nocturnal Activity to make sure they are fully prepared to go back to the wild. Look at the evolution of these two Raft Foxes (Caluromys derbianus) since they arrived a few months ago! Although these animals are very common in Costa Rica, little is known about their behavior in nature and it is not easy to see these guys in their natural habitat, as they are very quiet and are active only at night. These two are just a few steps away from being released and now we have a trap camera in their enclosure to monitor the nightly activity and make sure that they are fully prepared to return to nature.
