He was kept on a short leash and collar, was malnourished and very scared of everything. He very quickly learned (he’s super smart) that we were here to help and he ate some food to put some weight on. Moncho got some treats like peanuts, nuts or mealworms few times a week like they would forage in the wild and peanuts quickly became his favorite!🥜🐒 It is unethical (and also illegal in Costa Rica) to keep wildlife as pets. They need lots of wild space to forage and have contact with other monkeys of their species. Capuchins are very social monkeys and need interaction with a troop to live it’s life to the fullest!
