WHY PLANT TREES?

Trees are crucial for the survival of all living species on Earth.

Trees:

• Combat climate change
• Clean the air
• Create economic opportunities
• Conserve energy, save water, and provide food

Also, forests provide habitat for 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity and livelihoods for 1.6 billion people

Kids Saving the Rainforest was donated almost 300 acres, in Parrita, Puntarenas in Costa Rica to be used as a biological sanctuary to release rescued wildlife and to produce clean oxygen.

This rainforest will help the local wildlife such as squirrels and white-faced monkeys as well as three-toed sloths. Our plan is to plant a mix of native trees and fruit trees. Some of the species that will be planted are: Manzana de Agua, Roble Cebo, Ron Ron, Pilon, Muneca, Lorita, Sota Caballo, Caoba, Hule, Aguacatillo and Laurel Negro.
